Dawn Mewhinney, MSW, RSW

CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS.

Role at OWPC: Social Worker/Psychotherapist
Hometown: Guelph, Ontario

Hi, Iā€™m Dawn (she/her). I work with youth (12+) and adults experiencing difficulties related to trauma, anxiety, substance use, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and general life stressors.

I collaborate with my clients to develop treatment plans that help them meet their goals. This can include approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy and other humanistic approaches. I specialize in the treatment of trauma using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Whether you have experienced trauma or are stuck in unhelpful patterns, psychotherapy is an opportunity for you to break free and flourish as your authentic self. I am honoured to support your journey.
