Charlotte Schwass, MSW, RSW
CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS.
Hi! I’m Charlotte, a Registered Social Worker (RSW) supporting Children, Teens, and Young Adults (ages 10-29). I offer warm and enthusiastic evidence-based therapy to school-aged children and young adults who are struggling with generalized and social anxiety, trauma, life transitions, interpersonal/relationship difficulties, and low self-esteem.
It’s common for children and youth to feel consumed by worry and overwhelmed by anxiety in both everyday situations and social settings. When they face difficulties in their relationships, they might feel uncertain about how to navigate or resolve these conflicts. In such times, having support can make a significant difference in helping them find their way.
What will our work together look like?
In working with children and youth, I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and a strengths-based approach. Treatment is always tailored to meet the individual needs and preferences of my clients and involves ensuring I am creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can freely express yourself and my clients feel heard, understood, and appreciated.
What’s my experience?
I completed my Master of Education at Queen’s University and pursued my Master of Social Work at Western University, with specific focus on trauma, school-based mental health programming, and child welfare. My career has included School Social Work, Child Welfare, Hospital settings, and community organizations.
Outside of my work with OWPC, I enjoy spending time with my family- including my two dogs, rowing, and trying out new coffee shops!
While every child and adolescent is unique, some common concerns of those that I work with include:
Generalized and social anxiety

Interpersonal/relationship difficulties
Low self-esteem
Perfectionism
Burnout
