Avery is completing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the Michigan School of Psychology. She previously completed a B.A. in Psychology at the University of Windsor and a M.A in Clinical Psychology with the Michigan School of Psychology.
Avery is trained in psychological assessment, treatment and diagnosis and has experience working with diverse populations including children, adolescents and adults. Avery employs an integrative approach to treatment, while emphasizing humanistic values in practice. She utilizes a variety of treatment modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Play Therapy, and more. Avery is compassionate and dedicated in her work with children, adolescents and families and employs a client-centred approach to treatment.
